RAISE Plus

The Bureau for Economic Growth, Agriculture and Trade awarded a Small Business Set Aside Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC), the RAISE Plus Limited Scope of Work, to Weidemann Associates. BGI

USAID’s Office of Economic Growth of the Bureau for Economic Growth, Agriculture and Trade (EGAT/EG) established the Business Growth Initiative (BGI) project to promote best practices in enterprise development as a critical element for Economic Growth. BGI serves as a key element in building a Community of Practice for Enterprise Development, both within USAID and its development partners and among the broader development community worldwide. Farmer to Farmer Special Programs and Support Project

Weidemann Associates, Inc. has been awarded a contract to support special volunteer programs in agricultural development under the Farmer to Farmer (FTF) Program. The goals of the SPSP contract are to: test innovative approaches towards use of volunteers, draw from non-traditional sources of volunteers, develop the capacity of non-traditional volunteer organizations working in the agriculture sector, and address niche agricultural sector issues.> More

 

Agriculture Technology Program for Turkmenistan

Agriculture Knowledge and Support Program

The Agriculture Knowledge and Program Support (AKPS) is a multi-year Task Order under the Raise Plus IQC. Its purpose is to assist USAID Washington’s Economic Growth, Agriculture and Technology (EGAT) Bureau and the new Bureau for Food Security to develop strategies for and support implementation of more effective, efficient and sustainable agricultural and rural sector development programs at the community, country, regional and global level.  > More

 

Guatemala Project

The Guatemala Policy Regulatory Support (PRS) for Economic Growth Program focuses on reducing chronic under-nutrition and rural poverty. The work to be performed under this Task Order derives from the Global Hunger and Food Security Initiative (GHFSI, also known as Feed the Future or FTF), and related Guatemalan policy needs in rural development, trade, and environment.  The project will include a small grants program, as well as a Rapid Response Fund. Weidemann’s consortium on this project includes Chemonics International and local partner AGEXPORT.  The consortium will work with stakeholder’s in Guatemala in the areas of agriculture, rural development, trade, and environment.
